Paperwork Needed

To apply for a loan, you will have to provide the lender with detailed documentation of your financial history. The lender will request a credit report from a credit agency and will verify the information provided in your loan application. Be prepared to provide:

 

  • Most recent pay stubs for a full month of income (if salary employee)
  • Copies of checking, savings, stocks, and retirement accounts statements for the past two months (all pages)
  • W-2s for last two years
  • Personal Federal tax returns for last 2 years included all schedules and K-1s
  • Business Federal tax returns for last 2 years for all businesses with 25% or more ownership
  • Mortgage and Insurance statements for all properties owned
  • Residence and Employment history for the past two years
  • Sales contract for the purchase of a new home (if purchasing)
  • Landlord name and phone number if currently renting
  • Homeowner's association information with contact information if property is a condo or part of a homeowner's association
